There are rent-a- cycles around Kyoto but if you've got more than
two or three places to visit in one day then you are going to need
a scooter!
Scooters are one the most common forms of transport throughout Asia,
and Japan is no exception. From 16 year olds to grandmothers! But
unlike many other Asian countries, Japanese generally follow the
traffic rules. Which makes it Safer to ride here than surrounding
countries.
For those of you who have ever had a friend or family come to stay
in Kyoto from abroad, I'm sure you'll know the problems trying to
send them off on public transport to that special place while you
are busy. Having to write things out in Japanese / Romaji etc..
This gives them the freedom to go wherever they like!
Or to get to the places where there is a lack of public transport
or you just want to get out of the city, Kyoto is surrounded by
beautiful mountains and some amazing scenery. Just rent a scooter
and explore!
We'll even provide you with the bilingual maps and help written
in Japanese if you get into any problems.
And you really don't want to be riding a bicycle in 30 degrees heat
and over 70% humidity in a Kyoto summer, do you? Just bring along
your International Drivers License!
